Faith-Led Diplomacy for Peace: The Rise of Spiritual Diplomats at Capitol Hill
The Institute for Advanced Studies and Cooperation (IASC) announces that its President, Professor Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli, will be travelling to Washington, D.C. to take part in the forthcoming gathering of Spiritual Leaders at Capitol Hill.
At a moment in which the international order is under visible strain—marked by renewed conflicts, erosion of established boundaries, and growing tension between power and responsibility—this gathering represents a timely and necessary space for dialogue between conscience and institutions.
On this occasion, Professor Andreoli will present the joint work developed with Professor Alberto Contu, entitled:
Global Constitutionalism and Technologies of Power
An Ethical-Garantist Compendium for World Peace
The contribution is grounded in the ethical-guarantist tradition inspired by the thought of Luigi Ferrajoli, and advances a vision of global governance in which peace is understood as a constitutional condition, sustained by enforceable guarantees, ethical responsibility, and the governance of emerging technologies in service of human dignity. Through this intervention, IASC reaffirms its commitment to scientific diplomacy for peace, advocating for the recognition of science and technology as strategic infrastructures of rights, and for the essential role of spiritual diplomacy in nurturing trust, responsibility, and shared humanity where political mechanisms alone prove insufficient.
In times of uncertainty, the convergence of law, science, and conscience is not optional—it is foundational.
