The Institute for Advance Studies and Cooperation is going to be part of “The International Conference “Local Government 6.0 – Social Development – Economic Services – Modern Finance” a major scientific event held on June 5-6th in Wieliczka, Poland.
Our honorary president, Prof. Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli, will be a speaker on June 6 at the opening panel at 10:00 a.m. on the topic “Impact of innovations and civilizations’ changes on functioning for the local communities” and part of the panel discussions at 11:00 a.m. with “Sustainable Development: The Future of Local Communities.”
The conference is a continuation of the 21st International Conference in the series ECONOMY – FINANCE – MANAGEMENT (ICEFM2022) entitled. “Contemporary Challenges in Economic Policy, Business and Management,” which was organized at the Wieliczka Mediatheque in October 2022.
The June conference will provide a venue for leaders and experts from many fields of local government science and practice from around the world (Poland, Germany, France, Italy, Romania, the US, Peru) to discuss how to develop a more perfect model of local government of the future. Over the past few years, technology and innovation have accelerated rapidly, becoming increasingly important for social and economic development, therefore the conference provides a platform for debate on trends, practices and development challenges facing local governments.
Social development is a key topic of the conference, as local governments play an important role in improving the quality of life of their residents. To this end, local government leaders may consider investing in infrastructural projects, in education and health programs that will help harmoniously improve the standard of living of residents.
Public services is another important theme of the conference. Local governments should consider using modern technologies, such as mobile applications and online platforms, to make public services more accessible to residents. In this way, public services will become easier and more available to all.
Modern finance is the third major subject of the conference. Local governments may consider various ways to deliberately shape their financial situation, including alternative sources of financing. The public finance framework should create a regulatory space for development that takes into account diverse sources of financing.
The conference is organized in cooperation with the City and Municipality of Wieliczka, Jagiellonian University in Krakow and Cracow University of Economics.
