IASC World Changers for Peace
From Assisi to the Quantum Age: Rethinking Peace Through Fraternity
Assisi, 2 June 2026
Eight hundred years after the passing of Saint Francis of Assisi, the city that has become a universal symbol of peace, dialogue, and fraternity will once again welcome international leaders, scholars, diplomats, religious representatives, innovators, and humanitarian actors for a profound reflection on the future of humanity.
On June 2, 2026, within the historic setting of the Sala della Conciliazione in Assisi, the international forum “IASC World Changers for Peace – From Assisi to the Quantum Age: Rethinking Peace Through Fraternity” will bring together distinguished speakers from diplomacy, religion, academia, science, culture, cybersecurity, and technological innovation to explore new pathways toward peace in an increasingly interconnected world.
The initiative forms part of the broader Rome–Assisi Peace Movement and aligns with the commemorations of the 800th anniversary of Saint Francis’ passing, a moment of extraordinary significance for all those committed to building a more compassionate and cooperative civilization.
Inspired by the vision of Saint Francis and by the principles expressed in the recent Encyclical Magnifica Humanitas of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, the event seeks to promote a new culture of dialogue capable of bridging spirituality, ethics, science, technology, and human responsibility.

The forum will feature an exceptional group of international voices committed to advancing peace, dialogue, innovation, and human dignity:

IASC World Changers and Humanitarian Action
At the heart of the event is the mission of IASC World Changers, a global movement dedicated to advancing peace through humanitarian action, science diplomacy, ethical innovation, and international cooperation.
IASC World Changers works to connect institutions, researchers, policymakers, faith communities, innovators, and civil society leaders in addressing some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Through its initiatives, IASC promotes solutions that strengthen human dignity, foster resilience, and support vulnerable communities affected by conflict, inequality, technological disruption, and environmental change.
The organization’s humanitarian vision is rooted in the belief that lasting peace requires more than the absence of conflict. It requires access to education, responsible technological development, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion, and opportunities for human flourishing.
Through projects such as Transcendence, the World Changers Summit, Quantum Balkan, the Multiverse of Trust initiative, and global programs focused on ethical artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and science diplomacy, IASC continues to advocate for a future where innovation serves humanity and contributes to sustainable peace.
Keynote Address by Prof. Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli
During the forum, Prof. Andreoli will deliver a keynote reflection entitled:
“From Human Fraternity to Quantum Civilization: Trust, Technology and Peace in the Emerging World”
The lecture will explore how humanity is entering a new civilizational phase shaped by artificial intelligence, quantum computing, digital infrastructures, and increasingly interconnected global systems.
The intervention will address several key themes:
- Trust as a strategic infrastructure for peace;
- The relationship between ethics and emerging technologies;
- The role of artificial intelligence and quantum technologies in shaping future societies;
- Science diplomacy as a tool for conflict prevention and international cooperation;
- The importance of preserving human dignity in the age of intelligent machines;
- The contribution of spirituality and conscience to global governance;
- The evolution from sustainability toward human flourishing.
Drawing upon the principles developed through the IASC World Changers movement and the concepts presented in the books Transcendence and Global Constitutionalism and Technologies of Power in the Quantum Age, the lecture will propose a vision in which technological innovation serves humanity rather than replacing it.
Particular attention will be given to the need for new forms of international cooperation capable of creating what Prof. Andreoli describes as a “Multiverse of Trust” — a global ecosystem where institutions, citizens, innovators, religious communities, and governments collaborate to strengthen peace, resilience, and shared prosperity.
A Bridge Between Assisi and the Future
The choice of Assisi is deeply symbolic.
For centuries, the city has represented a meeting point between cultures, religions, and peoples. Today, as humanity enters the Quantum Age, the Franciscan message of fraternity acquires renewed relevance.
The challenge before us is no longer simply technological. It is profoundly human.
The future will depend not only on what humanity can build, but on the wisdom with which it chooses to build it.
Through this event, IASC World Changers reaffirms its commitment to fostering dialogue among science, spirituality, diplomacy, and innovation while advancing humanitarian action that supports peace, human dignity, and international cooperation. By bringing together influential speakers and global changemakers, the forum seeks to inspire practical solutions and lasting partnerships for a more peaceful, ethical, and flourishing future for all.
