The Institute for Advanced Studies and Cooperation (IASC) and ICB Lab are pleased to announce the signing of a strategic agreement for the creation of the “IASC World Changers Ethical Knowledge City”, an innovative knowledge ecosystem in the metaverse where technology, ethics, education, and scientific diplomacy are seamlessly integrated.

The agreement was formally signed on 22 October 2025 at the Pontifical Academy of Sciences in Vatican City, marking a significant milestone in the shared commitment of IASC and ICB Lab to build a secure, ethical, and inclusive digital infrastructure for high-level education and international cooperation.

Following the signing, Prof. Sir Gabriele Pao-Pei Andreoli, President of IASC, was welcomed in Dubai by Mr. Mete Al, CEO of ICB Lab, at the new headquarters of the company, where he was able to witness the rapid progress of the technical and educational development teams working on the project.

“After months of dedicated work,” stated Prof. Andreoli, “it is a profound joy to see our vision taking concrete form in Dubai. With ICB Lab we share not only cutting-edge technological ambitions, but above all a responsibility: to provide a protected and ethical space where students, researchers, institutions, and leaders can meet, learn, create and cooperate. IASC is honored to be the first non-profit institution to land in this metaverse infrastructure, which is already attracting universities and international partners committed to excellence in education and innovation.”

The IASC World Changers Ethical Knowledge City will serve as a virtual campus and diplomatic agora, designed to:
• host academic programs, masterclasses, and public lectures;
• foster dialogue among governments, universities, research institutes, and international organizations;
• promote ethical Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, regenerative sciences, sustainability, and cultural diplomacy;
• expand access to high-quality education through a secure, interoperable, and inclusive metaverse architecture.

“ICB Lab is proud to support IASC in this pioneering initiative,” affirmed Mr. Mete Al. “Our collaboration demonstrates how immersive technologies can be placed at the service of ethics, human dignity, and scientific progress. Together, we are building not just a digital environment, but a responsible infrastructure for the next generation of global leaders.”

IASC emphasizes that the Ethical Knowledge City is conceived in continuity, not in substitution, with its tradition of in-person engagement. The Institute and its World Changers community will continue to convene physically—especially in symbolic locations such as Vatican City and other global venues—because human presence, shared emotions, and spiritual values remain central to authentic cooperation.

At the same time, this new metaverse platform opens “a new horizon for Scientific Diplomacy and education”, enabling IASC and its partners to:
• scale initiatives globally,
• co-design innovative learning experiences,
• and conduct ongoing research and development on ethical, secure, and high-impact digital ecosystems.

In the coming period, IASC and ICB Lab will finalize the official launch date of the IASC World Changers Ethical Knowledge City and present additional services and modules dedicated to universities, institutions, and strategic partners interested in joining this collaborative and value-driven environment.

For IASC, this initiative is not merely a technological milestone; it is an essential pillar of its mission to build a flourishing, knowledgeable, and ethically grounded global community.
