The Institute is happy to announce that Pascal Vicedomini will receive a special medal of honor from the Institute’s Bureau, which voted in accordance with the board of advisors. Vicedomini has always shown great courage in taking on the most daring challenges in support of culture, inclusion, and social issues. He is one of the most highly regarded and resourceful global Italian show business figures. Founder of Italian Independent Productions, and producer of several important film-and- music festivals such as “Capri, Hollywood – The International Film Festival” (since 1995), the “Ischia Global Film & Music Fest” (since 2003), and the “Los Angeles, Italia – Film, Fashion and Art Festival” (since 2006). Vicedomini is also the writer and anchorman for various International television shows co-produced by Rai-Radio Televisione Italiana (since 1996) and for Mediaset (since 2014). He was also behind the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s awarding Hollywood Walk of Fame® stars to the legendary director Bernardo Bertolucci (1998), to the tenor Andrea Bocelli (2010) to the Oscar-winner music composer Ennio Morricone (2016) and to the Oscar-winner director Lina Wertmuller (2019). Vicedomini was then entrusted as the Italian host and executive-producer on of some of the world’s most prominent entertainment events: the Tribute Concert to Elvis Presley (Wembley Stadium ’96 with Rod Stewart, Steve Winwood, Bon Jovi, Chaka Khan and Seal), the World Music Awards (1996, 1997 and 1998 in Montecarlo, 2000 in Las Vegas, and 2005 at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater), the Grammys (1998 in New York, and 2000, 2010 at L.A. Live), the Tribute to Liz Taylor (Hollywood ’98 with Michael Jackson, Dennis Hopper, Rod Stewart, Shirley MacLaine and Patty Labelle), the British Music Awards (London 1998 and 2000), the Billboard Music Awards (Las Vegas 2000), and the Music for Monserrat Concert (Royal Albert Hall. London, 1998 honoring Sir George Martin with Sting, Eric Clapton, Paul McCartney, Mark Knopfler and Elton John). Also, the Celine Dion Christmas Concert featuring Andrea Bocelli (1998), and the Christmas Concerts in Vienna with Placido Domingo (1997, 1998), as well as the SAG Awards Show (2000) and the Laureus World Sports Awards (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003). In 1998 he co-produced and hosted, live from Modena, Italy, the preview of ”Luciano Pavarotti and Friends for Liberia” (the Music Show on Raiuno TV hosted by the legendary tenor with Spike Lee and Stevie Wonder) and also, the Academy show of young San Remo Festival singers. As a producer of international events Vicedomini created “The Italian Film Festival” network that many high-profile Italian and global industries, as well as prominent humanitarian ambassadors such as Kerry Kennedy, Trudie Styler and Vanessa Redgrave that have helped to build the network’s great reputation. In 2018, Vicedomini was honored with the Italian Government’s “Ufficiale al merito della Repubblica Italiana” for his commitment as global promoter of today’s best Italian cultural personalities and content. This medal is meant to honor Vicedomini’s ongoing business achievements as well as his commitment, vision, and community-mindedness, which have elevated him to the status of an inspiration to follow. Prof. Andreoli will therefore personally give this token of gratitude from the Institute for Advance Studies and Cooperation on December 28 during the celebration of the renown Capri Hollywood International Film Festival.
