The Institute for Advance Studies and Cooperation (IASC) is honored to welcome Sara Penco, distinguished art restorer, researcher, and cultural innovator, as a speaker at the 10th Edition of the World Changers Summit. Her work embodies the deep conviction that art is not only beauty or memory, but a living instrument of unity, identity, and hope for humanity.

IASC World Changers is proud to support her visionary projects, which align perfectly with our mission to unite faith, science, and culture in service of the common good.

From her early childhood, when she first encountered the mysterious world of restoration in the ateliers of Via Margutta in Rome, Sara Penco has been guided by a vocation: to preserve, protect, and reveal the spiritual and cultural legacy hidden in works of art. This lifelong dedication has evolved into a broader mission—placing culture at the center of global dialogue and collective well-being.

ReArt Europe: Protecting and Uniting Through Culture

Sara is the founder of ReArt Europe, an initiative born in deliberate resonance with the project “ReArm Europe,” but with a very different mission. While the latter focuses on defense and rearmament, ReArt Europe focuses on protection through culture. Its aim is to promote art as a form of “soft power”, capable of uniting peoples, transcending divisions, and resisting the forces of coercion, nationalism, and conflict.

ReArt Europe envisions a modern agora, where European humanist values—culture, history, and solidarity—become the backbone of a new, inclusive dialogue. Rooted in Italian and European excellence in the preservation of cultural heritage, the project aspires to create a global community for collective well-being, where art connects past, present, and future in the spirit of a planetary humanism.

Smarticon: Innovation Serving Heritage

At the heart of this initiative is Smarticon, a patented method developed by Sara Penco for the classification, cataloguing, and tracking of valuable cultural assets. Smarticon is not only a tool of preservation but also a means of enhancing access to knowledge, encouraging collaboration, and fostering understanding across borders.

This innovative framework became particularly significant when it enabled Sara Penco to identify the presence of Mary Magdalene in Michelangelo’s Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. Her interpretation sheds new light on the fresco, emphasizing Magdalene’s role as a symbol of redemption, resilience, and hope—values deeply aligned with the message of mercy and salvation at the heart of Christianity.

A Vision for Global Dialogue

Sara Penco’s vision transcends the boundaries of restoration. For her, art is a universal language, a channel for dialogue, inclusion, and spiritual awakening. By protecting and promoting cultural heritage, she believes humanity can foster peace, rediscover common values, and build a stronger, more cohesive future.

In this sense, her presence at the World Changers Summit 10th Edition is particularly meaningful. Her work resonates with the Summit’s mission: to unite science, art, faith, and innovation in service of humanity, to cultivate a culture of dialogue, and to promote projects that lead to a more ethical, sustainable, and inclusive world.

Conclusion

Through ReArt Europe and Smarticon, Sara Penco offers a modern framework where tradition and innovation meet. Her work demonstrates that art is not only a reflection of human creativity but also a catalyst for global cohesion, dialogue, and hope.

At a time when the world is often fractured by conflict and competition, her message is both timely and timeless: to protect and unite through culture, and to revive the humanist legacy of Europe as a contribution to the flourishing of humanity as a whole.

IASC World Changers is proud to accompany her in this journey and to support the dissemination of her work, which brings art back to its highest vocation: a bridge of peace and transcendence for all.
